The concept of my magazine is a design magazine that highlights my own take on popular album covers. I am not really sure about keeping it strictly about album covers. I want to do more than that in retro spec. Mainly the zine will talk about my design process and what I decided to change about the original design.
The design process for both of these attempts started with a sketch in my notebook. My inspiration for both came from various 'y2k' magazine covers I found on Pinterest. I do not think I accomplished the 'y2k' vibe in either of these, but I am proud of the outcome nonetheless.
